Devlin stated that before curtailment of train Tamaqua and towns on its Star Mail route, including Lansford, Coaldale, Summit Hill and Nesquehoning, had the best possible mail service. Now, however, Panther Valley towns have the worst possible mail service, Devlin asserted. There is a possibility, said Devlin, that if present trend continues unchecked, Tamaqua will become a "bus" town. Such a situation would affect mail, express and passenger service throughout Panther Valley.
