Robert G. Esterly, 59; succumbs to injuries from Wednesday car crash Robert G. Esterly, 59, of Bechtelsville R.1, died Thursday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. Lehigh County Coroner Robert C. Weir attributed death to spinal cord injuries incurred in an automobile accident early Wednesday morning in District Township, Berks County.

Esterly was the husband of Olga (Krewonosuk) Esterly. An independent insurance broker, Esterly was a C.L.U. and an investment broker in Philadelphia for many years and then in Bechtelsville R.1. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Hilda (Schlear) Esterly of Philadelphia and the late Adolph Esterly. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills United Church of Christ, Bechtelsville R.1.

Esterly was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving with his widow and mother are a son, Gregory at home; a daughter, Andrea wife of Jeffrey Oswald of Boyertown R.1.; a brother Ralph of Southampton, Bucks County; two sisters Doris, wife of Gene Niederitter of Southampton, and Shirley, wife of Charles Devlin of Houston, Texas. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the church. A calling hour will precede the services.

Hummel, 91, formerly of Jacksonville, East Allen Township, died Thursday in the Zohlman Nursing Home, Richlandtown. He was the husband of Emma I. (Fehnel) Hummel. He was a repairman for the Chapman Quarries Slate Co. before retiring 26 years ago.

Before that, he was a foreman for the former National Cement Lower Nazareth Township. Born in Moore Township, he was a son of the late Jacob and Ida (Heffelfinger) Hummel. He was a past master of Monoquesy Lodge 413, Bath. Surviving with his widow are a son, Henry D. Jr.

of Bethlehem; a daughter, Dorothy wife of Gerald I. Hunsicker of Mertztown; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown. Calling hours will be noon Tuesday until services.

Mrs. Alberta J. Hahn Mrs. Alberta J. Hahn, 70, of 229 Hollywood Hillside, N.J., died Thursday in the home of her son, Robert G.

of Old Bridge, N.J. She was the widow of Albert Hahn. She was a retired employee of the Buchanan Electrical Union, N.J. Born in Aquashicola, she was a daughter of the late Emandus and Lilly (Beers) Hahn. Surviving with her son are a daughter Janet, wife of Eugene Schoenleber of Clark, N.J.; a brother William of Palmerton R.D.; two sisters, Mrs.

Irene Snyder of Slatedale and Minerva of Allentown; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin Weissport. Call 7-9 p.m. Monday.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Alfred R. and Bertha (Strouse) Miller. Surviving with his widow are a son, Carl and a brother, Robert both of Easton, and two grandchildren.

Bleiler 87, of 433 Wenz Kutztown, died Friday in Kutztown Manor. He was the husband of Biola M. (Hess) Bleiler. He was an assembler in the painting department at Mack Trucks, for 22 years, retiring in 1962. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harvey and Viola (Handwerk) Bleiler.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Allentown. Surviving with his widow are a son, Mark and a daughter, June wife of Stanley Gruber, both of Kutztown R.2; a brother Theodore of Breinigsville; two sisters, Mrs. Violet Neimeyer and Mrs. Lulu Essrig, both of Allentown; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Calling hours will be p.m. Monday in the Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, 346 W.

Schnabel, 87, of the Blough Nursing Home, Bethlehem, formerly of 634 Center Bethlehem, died Friday in St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Lewis E. Schnabel. A 1920 graduate of the Episcopal School of Nursing, Philadelphia, she was a registered nurse working private duty for more than 40 years before retiring.

Born in Drifton, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew B. and Sophia E. (Miller) Shaver. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Bethlehem. Surviving is a sister, Mrs.

Maude Bergen of San Francisco. Services at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the John F. Herron Funeral Home, 458 Center Bethlehem, will be followed by continued services at 10 a.m. in the church.
