She was the wife of the late Patrick J. Fleming A 1931 graduate of St. Ann's School of Nursing, Cleveland, Ohio, she was a private duty nurse before retiring in 1976.

Before that she was a registered nurse at St. Clare's and Roosevelt hospitals, both in New York City. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Staunton) Fadden. Survivors: Sons, Peter B. Sr.

of Upper Milford Township and Patrick J. of Aquebogue, N. daughter, Margaret S. Clancy of Alexandria, stepdaughters, Bridget, wife of Thomas Kelly of Babylon, N.Y., and Mary, wife of William Reilly of Massapequa, N.Y., and 17 grandchildren. Services: 9:30 a.m.

A 1933 graduate of the Univorsi-ty of Berlin, he earned his doctor ate in Christian archaeology from the University of Heidelberg in 1936. He published two volumes iA original verse in Latin, "Vox Ho-mana" in 1954 and "Cantus Fir mus" in 1964.

He also published numerous other books and art trios on art and art history. He received the Jones Lecture Award from Lafayette and was- honorary member and adviser ui Delta Kappa Epsilon. Previously, he was postmaster and clerk at the Northampton Post Office. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Agnes (Unger) Palkovits. He was a member of St. Ursula's Catholic Church, Fountain Hill.

He was a past employee involvement facilitator of the Lehigh Valley Post Office and a past board member of the Catasauqua Suburban YMCA. Palkovits was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Whitesell, 66, of Quakertown, formerly of Kingston, Luzerne County, died Sunday in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of Genevieve (Jajczyk) Whitesell. He was a sergeant for the Quakertown Police department before retiring. After retiring, he worked for the borough maintenance department.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Charles and Edna Whitesell. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: Wife; sons, Barry and Gary Heckman, both of Quakertown, and John Whitesell of Oro-fino, Idaho; brothers, Jack Cease in Florida, William Cease in New Jersey and Warren Cease of Hones-dale, Wayne County; sister, Doris Schaffer of Hawley, Wayne County, and eight grandchildren. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse. He was the husband of Beatrice (Novak) Gower. Born in Bethlehem, he was employed by Carrier now United Technologies, Syracuse, for 35 years before retiring. He was a founding member of Pitcher Hill Community Church, North Syracuse. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, Rebecca Langer of Loudonville, N.Y.; son, Russell Jr. of Marcellus, N.Y.; brother, James Lawrence of West-vale, N.Y.; sisters, Grace Radler of Bethlehem and Elizabeth Rice of Orange Park, and three grandchildren. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Feb. 10 in the church.

He was the husband of Rose (Bisko) Benninger. They were married 46 years in September. He was a crane operator at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 36 years before retiring in 1986. Bora in Walnutport, he was a son of the late Raymond A.

Sr. and Gertrude H. (Kain) Benninger. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slatington, and a former leader for Boy Scout Troop 65, Slatington.

Benninger was a volunteer driver for the Slatington Nutrition Van for many years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: Wife; son, Marc and a daughter, Susan, J. Williams, both of Slatington; brother Floyd of Allentown; sister, Elaine, wife of Walter Edwards of Slatington, and a grandson. Memorial services: At convenience of the family.

He was the husband of Gerda (Meyer) Gaertner. He was professor of foreign languages and art history at Lafayette from 1947 until retiring in 1977. In 1936, he became a tutor for children of German families living in Peru, and was manager of the Libreria International del Peru in Lima, 1939-45. After that he was a researcher and editor of a pictorial encyclopedia in New York. While at Lafayette, he was the first professor of fine arts and first head of the department of art and Harry A.

Hinch Sr. Harry A. Hinch 61, of Allentown died Monday in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Ella M. (Richardson) Hinch.

They were married 35 years in September. A 1969 graduate of RCA Technical Institute, Cherry Hill, N.J., he was a quality assurance manager for ABB Power Co. Allentown, for 27 years. Born in Camden, N.J., he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Elizabeth E.

(Van Leuven) Hinch. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown. During the 1960s and '70s, he coached sports in Berlin Township, N.J. He was a past Grand Knight of Nativity Council 2976, Knights of Columbus, Lindenwold, N.J.

Hinch was an Army veteran. Survivors: Wife; sons, Harry A. Jr. of Blackwood Terrace, N.J., Kevin M. of Marlton, N.J., and Mark E.

He earned a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, and graduated from Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy, Long Island.

Born in Brooklyn, he was a son of the late Harry and Anna Irene (Abbott) Oldenbusch. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Allentown. He was a Merchant Marines and Navy veteran of World War II and a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Gayle Lynne of Wellsburg, N.Y.; sister, Shirley I. He was the husband of Erma (Sinyard) Carrigan for 29 years in August. He was a trainman for Conrail and the former Lehigh Valley Railroad for 34 years until retiring in 1990.

Born in Royersford, he was a son of Florence (Brownsword) Carrigan of Lehighton. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Lehighton. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
