He previously owned and operated the Morris Park Sales Service Phillipsburg, and operated a carwash in Morris Park. Many years ago, he was a partner in a Phillipsburg Oldsmobile dealership. Born in Phillipsburg.

he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Whiteman) Smith. He formerly was a Phillipsburg Fire Co. 1 volunteer. There are no immediate survivors. Services will be at 2 p.

POLICE Four persons hurt as car hits pole A West Rockhill Township man's car skidded on icy Main Street in Sellersville Sunday night, sheared a utility pole and sent four occupants to Grand View Hospital for treatment. Police said intruders entered the Lieberman house Sunday afternoon and rifled bureau drawers in the living room and a bedroom.

Loot totals $1,800 Burglars took cash and items valued at more than $1,800 in burglaries reported to Allentown police yesterday. Linda Capers of 1033 Walnut St. first floor, told police that a stereo, TV, albums and a statue, with a total value of $662, were taken from the bedroom and living room of her apartment. Bushkill Township, was held for trial in Northampton County Court yesterday on a charge of stea ling $25,000 in silver from his father and stepmother. Police accused Boyce of taking silver flatware, a sugar bowl, cream pitcher and candlesticks from a hutch in the dining room of William and Virginia Boyce between Jan. 15 and 30. Police said he sold the loot to a coin shop. The silver was recovered, police said.

Wind Gap District Magistrate Frederick Reinhart reduced Boyce's $8,000 bail to $5,000 and remanded him to Northampton County Prison.
