Esther B. Race, 78. formerly of 3080 Morgan Hill Road, Williams Township, died Sunday in Easton Hospital. She resided at 3035 Morgan Hill Road with her daughter, Irene Paukovits. Mrs.

Race was the widow of Floyd J. Race. She and her husband operated a truck farm in Williams Township for many years. The Strunk Funeral Home, Easton, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs Alice Miller Ruoss Mrs.

Alice C. Miller Ruoss, 71, of 1113 Webster Allentown, died Sunday in Sacred Heart Hospital. She was the widow of Walter J. Ruoss and Raymond H. Miller.

She was employed by the former Goldsmith Purse Factory, Allentown, for many years. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Lillie (Rahn)Stuber. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown. Surviving are three sons, William C. Miller and Donald S.

Rossman, both of Allentown, and Robert B. Miller of Macungie; a sister Miriam, wife of Melvin Kuhns of Allentown, and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland Allentown. A calling hour will be 7-3 p.m.

Walter J. Weaver Walter J. Weaver, 77, of 411 N. 8th Easton. died Sunday in the Slate Belt Medical Center, Bangor.

He was the husband of Florence E. (Smull Weaver. The Clements Funeral Home, Easton, is in charge of arrangements. Stephen J. Kanalas Stephen J.

Kanalas, 64, of 370 Ann St. Phillipsburg, died Saturday in Alpha, N.J. He was the husband of Helen (Jacob) Serfozo Kanalas and the late Margaret (Parayos) Kanalas. The Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg, is in charge of Mrs: Mary A. Gress Mrs.

Mary A. Gress died Monday in her home at 706 Fifth Bethlehem. Lehigh County Coroner Robert Weir attributed death to natural causes. Mrs. Gress was the widow of GeorgeR.

Gress. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Oravec) Sabol. She was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem: Surviving are a son Gordon of Bethlehem R.3, and a daughter Georgine, wife of Joseph Leszcynski, and two sisters, Anna and Bernadine, all of Bethlehem; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services at 10 a.m.

Wednesday in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad Bethlehem, will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in the church. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Earl C.

Vogel Earl C. Vogel. 80, of Danielsville died Monday in Allentown Os- teopathic Hospital. He was the husband of Edith M. (Heffelfinger) Vogel.

1 He was molder at the Dieter Foundry. Cherryville, for 37 years until' retiring 18 years ago. Vogel was president and superintendent of the Danielsville Union Cemetery Association. Born in Danielsville, he was a son of the late Tilghman and Emma (Reph) Vogel. He was a member of Faith Re- -formed Church of Christ, Walnutport R.L.

Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Joyce R. wife of Daniel D. Danner of Danielsville, and a grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown.

Singley Charles H. Singley, 89, of 119 E. St. Joseph Easton, died Sunday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jessie M.

Singley. He was a rural postman for the U.S. Postal Service and was known for his salt water taffy concessions at state fairs throughout Pennsylvania.
