died Wednesday in her borne at 7719 Woodstock Manassas, Va. She formerly lived at 373 W. Wilkes-Barre Eas-ton. She was the widow of Jack Dathe and John Shubert. Born in Stanhope.

N.J., Mrs. Dathe was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Masker. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs.

Betty Zeutzius, with whom she resided, and Mrs. Elva Kennedy of Bedford, Bedford County; four sons. Rudy Shubert of Springfield, N.J., H. Jay Dathe of Rockville, Robert Dathe of Palmer Township and J. William Dathe of Easton; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will beat 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Strunk Funeral Home. Berwick and Reynolds streets, Easton. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Stenislaw Dunej Slanislaw Dunaj. 88. of 811 Lopat-congSt Belvidere N.J., wasdadon arrival Wednesday at Warren Hospital after being stricken in his home. He was the husband of Agnes Usewicz I Dunaj. He was a boiler house tender at N.J., plant before retiring.

Born in Poland, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Dunaj. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Belvidere.

Surviving with his widow are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Mianecki, with whom he resided, Mrs. Stella Obrycki of Reseda, and Mrs. Cecilia Aldrich of Yreka. Calif.

She owned and operated a tailor shop at her former residence at 826 N. Penn Allentown, for about 30 years until retiring. Born in Austria, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Deutsch. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Allentown.

Surviving are two sons, John P. and Louis, both in Pennsylvania two daughters. Mrs. Elsie R. Keglovitz of Coplay and Emma, wife of Henry P.

Bachman of Allentown seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday in the church. There will be no calling hours. The Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland Allentown, is in charge of arrangements.

of 2001 Green Whitehall, died Thursday in Sacred Heart Hospital. She was the widow of George Arey. Born in Slatedale, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Ellen (German Frederick. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall. Surviving are seven sons, Elwood of Coplay, George of Coopersburg, William of North Catasauqua, Robert of Whitehall, and Albert, Calvin and Raymond, all of Catasauqua; five daughters, Mrs.

Maude Smith, Pauline. June, wife of William Stettler. and Betty, wife of Clifford Good, all of Whitehall, and Sally, wife of Charles Fink of Northampton; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Herbster of Catasauqua and Rose, wife of Henry Aumann of Denver, Lancaster County; 39 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10: 30 a.m.

Steigerwalt Oliver G. "OUie" Steigerwalt. 52 of 628 Broad Tamaqua. died Thursday in Coaldale Hospital. He was the husband of Jane (Gould) Steigerwalt.

He was a laborer at the Bundy Tubing Hometown, and was an officer in the employees credit union. Born in West Penn Township, he was a son of Mrs. Hattie (Snyder) Steigerwalt of New Ringgold and the late Lewis H. Steigerwalt. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, where he sang in the choir.

Steigerwalt was a driver for the Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association for many years. Surviving with his widow and mother are a daughter Gail, wife of Robert Jones of Hamburg; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Rudelitsch of Slatington, Edna, wife of Stanley Mertz of Lehighton. Thelma, wife of William Snyder of Lansford. Ruth, wife of James Kemner of New Ringgold R.l, Esther, wife of Clair Youse of Northampton R.l.

Sunday. Charles H. Stauffer Charles H. Stauffer, 67, of Emmaus R.l, formerly of 209 S. 2nd St.

Emmaus, died Thursday in the Allentown and Sacred Heart Hospital Center. He was the husband of Elsie M. (Gulden) Stauffer. He worked for the former Neu-weilers' Brewery, Allentown, for 35 years, and later was a custodian at Emmaus schools in the East Penn School District until retiring in 1978. Stauffer was a fire policeman and special policeman in the Borough of Emmaus for 40 years.

Born in Emmaus. he was a son of the late Harry and Jennie Kehm Stauffer. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Western Salisbury Church, Allentown R.2, where he served on the council and the joint board for 15 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving with his widow are a daughter Phyllis, wife of James Peters, with whom he resided; a sister Victoria, wife of Carl Kratzer of North Catasauqua.

Mrs. Stella D. Eshleman Mrs. Stella D. Eshleman, 84, of 462 Delaware Palmerton, died Thursday in Palmerton Hospital.

She was the widow of Gerald J.C. Eshleman. Born in California, she was a daughter of the late Amzi and Elvira (Fourcade) Brown. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.

Elizabeth Eis of Palmerton, Mrs. Geraldine Meryweather of PlaiStow, N.H., and Mrs. Ann Ma this of Orlando, a son, Edwin A. of Barnegat, N.J., and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Field, Mrs.

Ellen Robertson and Gladys, and two brothers, Charles R. and Allen, all in California 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the church. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m.

Sunday in the T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Palmerton. St Bethlehem, died Thursday in St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Irma (Niemeister) Chanitz.

He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Corp. plant patrol for 37 years until retiring in 1974 as a sergeant. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John and Catherine Fodo Chanitz. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Bethlehem. Chanitz was a 1937 graduate of Moravian College. Surviving with his widow are two sons, Joel of Brookhaven. Delaware County, and John of Allentown. and a daughter Marilyn, wife of Robert C.

Wagner; a brother Stephen and a sister. Mrs. Teresa Talijan. all of Bethlehem, and four grandchildren. Services at 9 a.m.

Mrs. Una Baer Mrs. Lina Baer, 78, of 2424 S. 4th Allentown, died Thursday in the Allentown and Sacred Heart Hospital Center. She was the widow of Gottleib H.

Baer. She was a nurse in New York City from 1940 to 1949. Born in Switzerland, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Liana (Moosmann) Brunner. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Allentown.

There are no immediate survivors. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Werley Funeral Home. 46 E. Susquehanna Allentown.

He was the husband of Rose (Balish) Morana. He was an operator -mechanic for Air Products Chemicals, Trex-lertown. Born in Summit Hill, he was a son of the late William and Emma (Jones) Morana. He served with the Army paratroopers during World War II. Morana was president of the Summit Hill Rod and Gun Club for 25 years.

Surviving with his widow are a son, William Jr. of Lansford; a daughter Roseann, wife of William Weaver of Coaldale, and three grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Gulla Funeral Home, 130 E. Ridge Coaldale.

He was a farmer and a slate quarry worker before retiring. Born in Plalnfield Township, he was a son of the late Israel and Emma (Hahn) Itterly. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Plainfield Township. Itterly served in the Army during World War I.

Surviving are two daughters. Mrs. Dale Klipple of Pen Argyl R. 1 and Mrs. Mary Jane Buskirk of Bath; a son Louis of Wind Gap R.l, and a sister, Mrs.

William Maguire William "Barney" Maguire, 82, of Snyder Road, Green Lane R.l, died Thursday in Grand View Hospital, Sell-ersville. He was the husband of Marguerite V. (Evans) Maguire. He was a bartender at the Candlewyck Inn, Green Lane R.D., for 11 years before retiring in 1978. Born in Chester, Delaware County, he was a son of the late William and Rose (Campbell) Maguire.

He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg R.l. His widow is the only immediate survivor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the church.

Arnold Ambrose A. Arnold. 85, of Plandome Manor, Long Island. N.Y.. died April 24 in the St.

Francis Heart Center. Roslyn, N.Y. He was the husband of Genevieve Arnold. He was affiliated with the patent law firm of Pennie Edmonds, New York City, for 47 years before retiring in 1970. Arnold was the mayor of Plandome Manor in the 1940s and also served as water commissioner, attorney and trustee for the village.

Born in Saylorsburg, he was a son of the late Steward W. and Amanda (Van Buskirk) Arnold. He was a member of the Palmerton Juniors basketball team, one of the earliest organized teams in the area. He was an Army veteran of World War serving with the Engineer Enlisted Reserve Corps. A graduate of the University of Illinois in 1921, Arnold received his law degree from Yale University in 1924.

He was a past president of the University of Illinois Alumni Association of New York. Surviving with his widow are a son, a daughter, a brother, three sisters, including Bertha Braucher of Palmerton, and two grandchildren. Services were April 27 in Port Washington, N.Y. NO SALESMEN!
