Willard Solliday, ex-Perkasie postmaster J. Willard Solliday, 70, of North 5th Street, Perkasie, former borough postmaster died Sunday in Zohlman Nursing Home, Richlandtown. He was the husband of Geraldine (Stull) Solliday. They observed their 48th wedding anniversary last May. Solliday was a construction inspector at First Federal Savings and Loan Association, Perkasie, 1977-87.

He was postmaster, 1972-74, and previously assistant postmaster. He began working in the Perkasie Post Office in 1938. Born in Perkasie, he was a son of the late James Monroe and Anna (Landis) Solliday. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where he was a past financial secretary and council member. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European, African and Middle Eastern theaters, attaining the rank of lieutenant.

Survivors: Wife; daughter Starr, wife of Samuel A. Coch of Quaker-town; son, Todd A. of Mountaintop, Luzerne County; brother, George and a sister, Mrs. Irene Weigh-knecht, both of Perkasie. Services: 11 a.m.

teacher Mrs. Florence E. Jones, 93, formerly of 322 Kuehner Slating-ton, died Sunday in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the widow of Maurice "Barney" Jones. She was an elementary teacher at the Lehigh Furnace and Schnecksvifie schools for many years.

Born in Lehigh Furnace, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Elizabeth (Sowden) Lentz. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slatington, where she was a soloist in the choir for more than 30 years. She was a former secretary of the Slatington Senior Citizens. There are no immediate survivors.

Hilda I. Messinger Mrs. Hilda I. Messinger, 78, formerly of 49 Easton Road, Nazareth, died Monday in Gracedale, Nazareth R.l. She was the widow of Sherwood Messinger.

She was employed for many years by the former Nazareth Paper Box Co. Born in Hellertown, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Laura (Frey) Seifert. Hill Willard B. Hill, 39, of 146 S. 8th Lehighton, died Sunday in Her-shey Medical Center. He was the husband of Edna M. (Mover) Hill.

They observed their 22nd wedding anniversary in January. Hill was a set-up man and machinist for Strick Trailer Lehighton R.1, for the past 21 years. Born in Coaldale, he was a son Willard P. and Elizabeth (Boyer) Hill of Lehighton. He was a member of Wesleyan Church, Lehighton, and the organist for St.

Paul's Lutheran Church, Al-brightsville, for the past two years. In January, he was elected lieutenant of Lehighton Fire Company 1. Luzi William V. Luzi, 69, of 542 Dewberry Bethlehem, died Sunday in Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Jayne D. (Clause) Luzi. He was an iron worker in the Lehigh Valley for Union Local 36, Bethlehem, before retiring.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of late Joseph and Rose (Bastianelli) Luzi. He was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He served in the Army during World War II. Survivors: Son, Jeffrey T. of Bethlehem, and two granddaughters.

Before that she was a frame operator at the former Syntex, Allentown, for four years. Born in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Barber and Amini (How ard) Sophy. He was the husband of Mary (Coleman) Yetman. They observed their 17th wedding anniversary in September. Yetman was a fireman at Lafayette College for 14 years and previously worked at Lifetime Doors, Forks Township. Born in New Brunswick, N.J., he was a son of the late Albert and Edna (Cunningham) Yetman. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines.

Frederick W. Menne Frederick W. Menne, 60, of 27 Magna Drive, Coplay, died Monday in Allentown Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Miller) Menne.

They observed their 34th wedding anniversary in November. Menne was a crane operator for Lehigh Structural Steel, Allentown, for the past 10 months. Before that he worked in the same capacity for Bethlehem Fabricators for 15 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late George P. and Gertrude (Naegele) Menne.

He was a member of Faith Evan- felical Lutheran Church, Whitehall ownship. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was the husband of Catherine M. (Overbeck) Weirbach. They were married 44 years in November. Weirbach worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1984 as a maintenance engineer in the Heating and Air Conditioning Department.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of Helen (Galley) Weirbach of Bethlehem and the late Calvin Weirbach Sr. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Freemans-burg, where he was an elder and deacon on the consistory for six years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a para trooper in the 101st and the 82nd Airborne divisions. Survivors: Wife and mother son. Keith C.

Born in Easton. she was a daugh ter of the late Ellsworth J. and Ida (Harding) DeRone.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown, where she was a past president of the Women's Faithful Bible Class and secretary of the Christian Endeavor Long-Timers of Grace Church.
